Same as their other Casino ’Q’ on the west side of Yuma. Packed in just the same in straight lines one after the other.
No table games here only slots - very smoky - looks like they’re trying to remodel a bit. Bad - unkept city roads getting here.
Pass on by -- Plenty of Free BLM land all around Yuma -- Lake Mittry on NE side and Sidewinder Rd and Ogliby Rd. on the west. Then drive in to gamble / shop / visit Algodones.SailorGolf#1 Reviewer69 reviewsReport this reviewComments (0)| Was this review helpful? 1.0Just say no and move along to an RV friendly place. Dakota SlimTop 50 Reviewer8 reviewsReport this reviewComments (0)| Was this review helpful? 5.0Great place to park .. level, spacious, some great bushwhacking and trails to the river for the dog, exactly one mile to walk to Yuma’s Historic downtown. Parking lot adjoins a small park with an inlet from the river well-stocked for fishing.
Officially you are allowed 48 hours, but they don’t seem to be very organized in enforcing that. If you show a Casino Card and play a bit, they will not ask you to leave.
We met some who said they were planning to stay a couple of weeks (???) and had no intention of using the casino, nor the dining room ..???? Sorry, those are the types who ruin it for the rest of us. ...
BTW .. breakfast special is very good for $3.99. Haven’t tried the restaurant for anything else.
Casino IS very smoky.
OkanaganduoTop 500 Reviewer1 reviewsReport this reviewComments (0)| Was this review helpful? 3.54.03.0Paradise Casino In Yuma AzWe were driving from California to Arizona and just needed somewhere to stop overnight to break up our drive. We pulled in relatively late, after dark maybe around 7-8pm, so we didn’t actually use the casino as we went straight to bed to be up early to drive the rest of the way. We also heard in other reviews that it is super smoky inside, so we wanted to avoid that. There are clearly marked signs directing you to RV Parking, which is a gravel lot next to the paved lot. There’s plenty of room to maneuver and the lot was basically empty when we were there. It’s always helpful when there are signs for RV Parking because then you know you’re definitely allowed to be there. They do have it clearly posted that there is a 24 hour limit though, but we weren’t even there 12 hours. Nobody bothered us, it was quiet, and the lot was spacious and no trees or anything. If you’re going in the summertime, it is Arizona and it would have no shade. I can’t comment on the actual casino or food offerings.darlingnikki08Top 500 Reviewer2 reviewsReport this reviewComments (0)| Was this review helpful? Paradise Casino is a small tribal casino located just outside of Yuma, Arizona on the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation. The property straddles the Arizona–California state line, but the casino building lies in Arizona. It is owned and operated by the Quechan Tribe of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation.History[edit]Casino In Yuma Arizona
In 1993, the Quechan tribe signed a compact with the state of Arizona to allow construction of a casino with 475 slot machines.[1] Construction began in January 1996.[2] The casino opened to tribe members on July 31, 1996, and opened to the general public the next day.[3][4] It was built at a cost of $13 million.[3]Casino In Yuma Az Area
Melbourne cup. In 1999, the tribe negotiated a compact with the state of California to open a casino on the other side of the state line, seven feet away from the existing casino.[5][6] Operating in California would allow the casino to offer blackjack, which was not allowed under Arizona gaming compacts at the time.[7] The extra space would also reduce crowding in the existing casino.[7] Construction of the California casino began in February 2002.[7] It opened on December 20, 2002, with 20 blackjack tables and 200 slot machines.[8] The two casinos were jointly operated as Paradise Casino Arizona and Paradise Casino California.[9]
In 2009, Paradise Casino California was closed, as the tribe’s California gaming operation was transferred to the newly constructed Quechan Casino Resort, seven miles to the west.[10][11][12] The new casino resort was expected to draw away tourist traffic, leaving Paradise Casino Arizona as more of a locals casino.[13] Paradise Casino California was then converted into an 800-seat event venue, the Paradise Event Center, which opened with a Lonestar concert in June 2009.[11][14] Casino players card printer.
A major renovation of the Paradise Casino was completed in 2011.[15][16]References[edit]
